It's a Very Very Very Fine House

I'll let the photos tell the story.

This is the home stretch of our 5 week renovation. Paint.

Doors are slightly grayer than the walls.

Paint is done and it's close to move in day. This used to be two small rooms, so we knocked down the wall in the center and made it one long room. You should have seen the light fixtures and fans in this house! They were oddly placed and all wiring was exposed on the outside of the walls. It was tacky. Graham installed one million can lights.

The bay is getting a little Florida kitch.

After our first night at the house, our pal, Olya showed up at 8am for bagel/mimosa delivery. Perfection!

Two overflowing IKEA carts. Tough on the wallet. 😁

It's about to get messier up in here. Moving is the WORST!
On a positive note, our neighborhood had a Derby party on the day we moved in. The host insisted we come by for a cocktail + food. We were warmly welcomed into the neighborhood and sent home with nearly two weeks worth of delicious potluck leftovers!

Just five days after move in day, we welcomed dad and Debe into our choas. They came for the weekend and we were happy to take a break from working 15 hour days.

The Skimspaz had barely been to the beach during renovation. He's back at it!

Boompa and Alastair. Keywadin Island.

We love the 1970 front door, so it stays.

The happiest place on earth, our lanai. I've had a lot of midwesterners ask what a "lanai" is. I guess it's a Florida term. It's surrounded by glass sliders and screens beyond that. We eat most meals out here, drink coffee + watch the sunrise, and have daily happy hour. It's the best!

Those little windows open up to the kitchen sink.

We have very little decoration happening yet, but this has turned out to be a nice little front bay so far.

We've got mangoes coming out of our ears! And they're HUGE! And delectable. We were stoked to discover four mango trees in our yard. This photo is pre-ripening.

Granna and I were the first pickers. Beware of mango sap burn (much like poison ivy.) So yeah, don't just go picking mangoes all willy nilly like we did!

Ten mangoes ripening on the counter...we now have 25 cups of chopped mango in our freezer.

The hallway bathroom was blue-ish gray and needed a bit of updating.

We went full metallic gold! Graham finds it a tad obnoxious, but I love it.

Once we got semi settled into the house, we got back to our routine of heading to the water 4x per week. Francis carrying her surf board is the cutest.

Mimosa flights with this beautiful lady for Mother's Day.

One of our favorite beaches, mostly because it's one of the only places we can hang hammocks here✨

Hammocking

Schooooool's Out For Summa!

Swimming in school uniforms = last day of school MUST

Pink hair for the summer.

I think it turned out pretty cute.

And this little lady chose fire engine red!

Paddle adventure with friends!

Francis is passionate about snorkeling and marine life.

Fathers Day coffee on the beach. Graham's favorite place to be.

This Florida boy loves to get all of his cozy, winter garb on after a day on the beach. Meanwhile, the rest of us are burning up and taking cold showers😂
